Dear parents, students and families,

Thank-you for your patience while the below information was being prepared.

The following information has been put together to assist you through the next few days of remote and flexible learning.

At this stage this period is for Monday 19th and Tuesday 20th of July. If this period of time alters you will be informed via a Compass newsfeed as well as direct email.

Monday 19th and Tuesday 20th July

  • Remote learning begins.
  • All classes will occur live using Microsoft Teams.
  • Lessons start times follow student compass schedules.
  • Lessons will run for 45mins at a time. (aside from form assembly – 12 minutes)
  • It is highly recommended that the last 15 minutes of each scheduled lesson be used by students to step away from their screens and engage in another activity – preferably something that involves physical activity.

General information

Moderation sessions / early finish time
The College has scheduled student work moderation for both Tuesday and Thursday of this week. These sessions involve an earlier finish time on both days.
The session on Tuesday has been cancelled due to remote learning, there will be no early finish to classes on Tuesday 20th July.
This session has been rescheduled for Tuesday 27th July.

The moderation session for Thursday 22nd is scheduled to occur.
At this stage there will be an early finish on Thursday 22nd of July for moderation – all lessons will end by 2.30pm)

On site attendance
Applications for students to attend on site are available upon request from the main office. Please email cranbourne.sc@education.vic.gov.au or collect a hard copy from the front office. Forms must be completed and submitted by 10am on the school day prior to the attendance request.

For example, any requests for Tuesday 20th July must be submitted by 9am on Monday 19th July.

IT requirements
Students can obtain IT supports by contacting 7747-techs@schools.vic.edu.au

Access to lockers
Students who need to access their lockers can come onto site on any day during the remote and flexible period between 9am and 1pm. Access will be via the front office where standard contact tracing will be used.

Additional family support
The College has some packs of food and other necessities to support families in need. Please contact the College if you would like access to one of these packs.
