I am writing to you about todays announcement from the State Government to extend the current COVID based restrictions for an additional 7 days.

The format of our remote and flexible learning will remain the same. This includes:
- 45 minute lessons following student standard timetables
- Lessons begin at the times shown on the timetable and finish 15 minutes early.
- Students are encouraged to take a break from their screens in this 15 minutes and engage in a different activity – preferably a some physical activity.
- All lessons occur live on Microsoft Teams
- An outline of the lesson is available on Compass
- All students check-in to form assembly for initial attendance
- Attendance in online classes is monitored throughout the day by staff
On site attendance
Applications for students to attend on site are available upon request from the main office. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org or collect a hard copy from the front office. Forms requesting on site attendance will need to be returned by 1pm on the day prior to attending.
The College remains highly committed to providing a learning environment on site for students who are: deemed vulnerable, and / or are part of the program for students with disability (PSD) and / or those students with parents / carers who are unable to provide supervision at home due to employment that is essential and that takes the parent out of the family home.
Students can obtain IT supports by contacting email@example.com
Access to lockers
Students who need to access their lockers can come onto site on any day during the remote and flexible period between 9am and 1pm. Access will be via the front office where standard contact tracing will be used.
Structured Workplace Learning arrangements
Students currently undertaking structured workplace learning as part of their VCAL or VET certificate are advised to wait further information from our VET coordinator regarding arrangements during the coming week.
Additional family support
The College has some packs of food and other necessities to support families in need. Please contact the college if you would like access to one of these packs.
If you need any support or advice please make contact with the College. A small group of staff, including members of the Principal team will be on site during normal school hours for the duration of the remote and flexible learning period.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all members of our wonderful school community for their work in continuing to engage our students and support one another.
Please stay well, safe (and warm) and I look forward to greeting students back onsite in a weeks time,
