Dear students, parents and families,
I hope you are all well.
I am writing to update you all regarding preparations for Term 4.
I am still awaiting details from the Department of Education and Training (DET) regarding Term 4 operations. When some of the final details are confirmed from DET I will be able to share a more complete plan for the College. I am intended on getting this to you all by Sunday 3rd October.
In the meantime, please see below for relevant information:
1. DET School staged return to onsite learning – this contains the current dates for various year levels and their return to onsite learning. Please note that all students will have scheduled online classes on the days that they are not attending for onsite classes. All students will begin on Monday 4th of October in remote and flexible learning
2. Walk in vaccination clinics – There are a number of these available in the south east of Melbourne that are operating this weekend. The clinics are run by Monash Health and the information has been provided to me via DET.
3. Onsite attendance for Yr 7-11 – Application forms for student attendance are available from the College via email. I have attached some updated expectation information that will accompany the onsite application forms for Term 4 – Communication to Parents RE: Onsite supervision.
4. Yr 12 GAT and Term 4 plans – As per previous communication with these students, VCAA have requested all students sitting the GAT must obtain a covid test prior to Tuesday 5th October. Further information regarding Yr 12 VCE, VCAL and VET students is being prepared and will be shared with these students and families in the next 24 hours.
Thanks for your ongoing support and I look forward to welcoming students back on site through Term 4.
David Caughey
College Principal
