In 2019, our Pastoral Care Program extended to Year 7-10 and beyond.

Life Skills is a compulsory subject in which teachers are supported to deliver the Respectful Relationships Government initiative with age-appropriate teaching and learning materials. These evidence-based materials are designed to enable teachers to develop students’ social and emotional capabilities, build positive, healthy and respectful relationships, make responsible decisions and create positive gender relations.

The initiative also provides resources to best support young people who are affected by family violence. In addition, Life skills provides life-long skills in developing student’s career aspirations through career education and preparing students for the challenges faced within the workforce today.

Students build on empathy, gratitude, mindfulness and goal setting across throughout their time at Cranbourne Secondary College and these skills help develop them as positive contributing members of our society.
