We’re thrilled to share that Cranbourne Secondary College has once again earned the Department of Education Gold Award for our School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) processes!
This prestigious award recognises schools with sustained, high-quality practices that support positive learning and social behaviours. SWPBS is an evidence-based framework making a real difference to our students’ social, emotional, and academic lives.
And the data backs it up!
Our 2025 Student Attitudes to School survey shows:
- A sustained increase across the majority of categories, including “Promoting Positive Behaviour”, “Effective Classroom Behaviour” and “Effective Teaching Time”. All of these sitting comfortably above state and or similar and local schools.
- Our staff data shows the same trends with a noticeable increase in “Academic Emphasis” at 10% higher than state and similar schools.
- Our parent data backs all of this up, with “Student Safety”, “Student Connection” and “Overall Satisfaction” categories assessed as being above, state, similar schools and all local schools.
We’re incredibly proud of our students, staff, and school community for making Cranbourne Secondary College a place where everyone can thrive.
Families are encouraged to book a tour with our College Principal to see this work in action!
