Dear parents, students and families,

I am writing to advise all students of year 7 to 11 that the wild weather overnight and this morning has caused some damage at the College and we are also experiencing some power outages. There are also some potential staff shortages due to transport and road safety issues.

While I do not have the authority to close the school, my advice for parents is that if alternative arrangements can be made to allow students to work from home today, this will be supported by the College.

I also have some safety concerns regarding tree branches and other debris.

We are currently putting all of our resources towards the VCE exams to enable these to run without interruption.

I apologise for any inconvenience, however, the safety of our students is of the most importance.

Further information from our sub school leaders will be communicated in the next hour our two.

Thanks for your support and understanding,

David Caughey
College Principal
