Headspace Parent Mental Health Webinars
Dec 1 @ 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Headspace Dandenong are facilitating parent mental health webinars. I have provided the information below and attached a flyer on each webinar, booking instructions are also on each flyer.

  • Wednesday 24th November at 7:00pm – Connecting and Communicating with your young person (60 minutes)
This session focuses on what parents might notice with their young person and how to have a conversation about it. It looks at how parents need to be aware and notice changes in emotions, thoughts, actions and behaviours. It covers how to better connect and communicate with young people and what are some skills you can learn to improve and assist that communication.

  • Wednesday 1st December at 7.00pm – Accessing help for my young person. Who, how and where (60 mins)
This session is about what you can do to provide support for your young person around their mental health. We have focused on a wide range of support services that are free and accessible.  We have also looked at what is available online including the use of phone apps. The hope is that this webinar will provide parents with multiple options from where they can access support for their young person.

Dec 16 @ 5:30 pm – 10:30 pm

The College would like to officially invite the graduating class of 2021 to the end of year farewell celebration. This is an evening held to take the opportunity to congratulate and celebrate the achievements of all Year 12 VCAL and VCE students.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions and Department guidelines that were in operation at the time of planning this event we are restricted in the number of attendees, and therefore, only Year 12 students are able to attend. A recording of the evening will be made available via Compass and the school’s face book page for all that are unable to attend.

The graduation ceremony will be held at Cranbourne Secondary College in the Cranbourne Community Theatre on Thursday 16 December 2021. The evening will include the presentation of graduates, individual subject awards and the Valedictorian and Dux awards for VCE and VCAL. Light refreshments and finger food will be provided, with a DJ to begin and end the evening. Opportunities for professional photos will be available.

Celebrations will commence at 5:30pm, concluding at 10:30pm. All students will need to be on school grounds by 6:30pm. The attire for the evening is smart casual. Please be aware that it is an alcohol free evening, in accordance with School Council Policy.

This event will be a free event, however we ask that all students please RSVP by contacting the front office on 5996 3544 before Friday 3 December 2021 to register their interest in attending. Unfortunately, late requests will not be possible.
